There is a fine line between the two.
Planning is good and advised:
- Envision future success
- Set goals
- Create a strategy
- Write down to do's
Worrying is unproductive and ill-advised:
- What if this or that happens...
- I hope I don't...
- I hope my friend, coach, or boss doesn't...
You will know which one it is by the emotion you experience.
With planning, you may:
1. Feel a sense of peace afterwards (you can still feel a little stressed when you plan and see all that will go into it- but that's the good kind of stress).
2. Feel focused and ready to go.
3. Feel excited and prepared.
With worrying, you likely will:
1. Feel anxious
2. Feel hesitant
3. Feel dread
Today, be proactive and plan. Envision the future you want, set a big goal or two, set some micro goals, and write down your to-do's.
But do not worrying about tomorrow. Each day has enough troubles of it's own ;-)
