Procrastination is Beautiful if You Use It

Procrastination is a BEAUTIFUL thing when you view it as a signal, an indicator, a warning sign!

"How am I going to get this done? Ughhhh. How am I supposed to do that!? Ughhh. I am SOOO not looking forward to this. Ughhh. I am really NOT the person for this. Ughhh..."

Most people procrastinate because they are trying to do something that they are not good at.

They are so focused on the how that it causes them to give up.

They put it off, put it off, put it off, and then they beat themselves up and create a cycle of guilt. It's deflating. They start to tell themselves that they are no good, that they can't accomplish their goals, etc.

Here is how to get more done AND be way happier:

When you procrastinate, which we all do, you would be kind to yourself and wise to stop asking "HOW can I get this done?" and start asking "WHO can I recruit/hire/ask to help me do this!?

Procrastination should be a sign that you need a WHO to help you.

It means you commit to doing the things you are strong at and that you find help or support for the things you are not good at.

For example, if you are not good at sticking to a nutrition plan, deciding what workouts you should do, or if you procrastinate about even getting to the gym, you may want to hire a coach!

Stop going at it alone, you need a WHO.

Your kids are growing up in a world that teaches them to obsess over the HOW. This is a recipe for chronic procrastination that leads to frustration.

I grew up the same way and had to UNLEARN this bad habit of asking HOW rather than WHO!

Is this making sense?

We need to stop getting mad at ourselves when we fail to do things that we are not good at. We need to embrace the empowering truth that there is a WHO that can help us!

So, WHO is the WHO that you need to help YOU!?
