Some experts say that in order to be successful with weightloss, for example, you need to start replacing the pizza with the salad.
(Cue the "booooooooooo" from the crowd).
That could work but it's not the only way.
What about denying yourself the pepperoni smothered pizza and instead going for cheese?
Small acts of self-denial are one solid way to change your mindset and desires overtime, so that long-term you can be successful.
Deny yourself of the elevator and take the stairs one day. It's a decision of self-denial in the moment.
Deny yourself of the family-size Doritos purchase at the store and go for the smaller size. Or, if you choose, grab the healthier version that kinda sorta tastes like Doritos 😁
Deny yourself of the 4th episode and go to sleep after the 3rd when your conscience tells you to (and it will, especially after reading this).
Perhaps you don't love the term "self-denial".
I get it.
We live in a culture that says "Never deny yourself of any pleasures! We must enjoy life!"
Well, if that isn't working for you and what you want most in life, try this.
"Don't give up what you want most for what you want now."
Dedicated to your success,
Coach Andrew and the PFP Team
